"A Composite Roof for the Stadium of Real Madrid" wins the JEC Innovation Award

Gavazzi Tessuti Tecnici is proud to have participated in the "A Composite Roof for the Stadium of Real Madrid" project, which was awarded the JEC Composites Innovation Award on March 2nd in Paris. Fiberglass was used in the production of epoxy carbon fiber beams for the new Real Madrid Stadium. The lightweight, 75 meters beams simplified the lifting and installation process while significantly reducing the weight and energy consumption of the motors used to open and close the stadium roof in less than fifteen minutes.

The JEC Innovation Awards are a highly prestigious recognition in the composites world promoted by the JEC Group. The project for the Santiago Bernabeu stadium roof won the award for the Building & Civil Engineering category.
